how to Make a complaint - A letter from the Trustees
We are grateful to be a church made up of people from all walks of life, each bringing unique backgrounds, situations, and experiences. Together, we seek to follow Jesus, live life to the full, and make a difference. Our church is strengthened by the diversity of those who serve, whether in staff positions or volunteer roles, as we work together to build His Kingdom.
As a growing and diverse Church we recognize that, at times, we may fall short or simply get things wrong. Disagreements may arise, or misunderstandings and mistakes can cause hurt. When this happens, we want to know. It’s important to us that we understand the pain caused so we can do our best to make things right.
If you have a concern or complaint, please don’t hesitate to share it with us. We will listen with care and seek to understand, perhaps starting with an informal conversation to resolve the issue. If that does not address your concerns, you are welcome to submit a formal complaint, and we will follow our Complaints Policy to investigate and take appropriate action.
Your complaint should be sent by email titled “Private & Confidential - Complaint” to the Chair of Trustees at trustees@birminghamvineyard.com or in writing via the Birmingham Vineyard Office (Birmingham Vineyard Church, 174 - 178 Barford Street, Birmingham, B5 7EP), marked “Chair of Trustees – Private and Confidential). We will acknowledge it in writing or by email (normally within 14 days).
Of course, we also welcome positive feedback when we get things right! We love to hear from you so please send us any feedback by emailing us at info@birminghamvineyard.com.
This is not about safeguarding. Any complaint received that contains or raises safeguarding concerns regarding allegations of abuse against children and/or vulnerable adults will be dealt with in accordance with the Church’s Safeguarding Policy. All safeguarding concerns should be directed straight to the Safeguarding Leads using this form.
Thank you for playing your part in the rich and diverse life of Birmingham Vineyard Church.
God bless,
Mike McMaster
